Captain John T has been with Manatee fun almost from the beginning and would love to have you along for one of his tours!  John was born in Kankakee, IL but much prefers the Florida sunshine to the cold winters up north. He's been here since 1992, so he's not sure he could handle a northern winter anymore! His favorite sport is Hockey and his favorite hobby is working with drones.

Captain John has worked in this Industry for quite some time and has done just about every job there is to do! From wet suit washing, to dock hand, dolphin tours to Air boats, he's done it all and has earned his place here doing manatee tours! John's favorite thing about his job? Meeting people from all over the world that find the manatee experience AMAZING; this really keeps him going day to day, even with the early morning wakeup calls (and we do get up early!).

John lives nearby in Old Homosassa where he has a mini-farm with chickens, many pets and he's working towards growing more and more of his own food. We can't wait until his watermelons are ready! Yum-yum! He also runs air boats at our River Safaris location in Homosassa and highly encourages your family to check that out if you've never taken an air boat ride. What a rush!

John Captains our premium houseboat (we call her Fancy) almost on the daily and is confident that he leads one of the most comfortable and informational tours out there. Fancy is fully enclosed and heated, she also has a roof top platform suitable for viewing - with the Captain's approval of course. Lots of windows give a super view of the Bay from this boat, and on a cold day you will be the envy of the waterway! Once you visit John and meet his manatees, you may end up staying just like he did 20 years ago!
